From April 25 – 26, 2023, Fonds Soziokultur has invited to the bilingual federal congress „Doing Culture. Profiles and Transformation within Social Culture“ in Berlin to discuss the transformations of society and culture that we have been experiencing for the last three years and to look at relevant practice, funding and policy for cultural democracy with the experiences from NEUSTART KULTUR. Starting questions and points of orientation of the congress were: In what way can culture and the arts contribute to shaping a just society? How can we benefit from the findings of sociocultural work and the support of the arts through the programme NEUSTART KULTUR of the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture in the future?
